Dun Dreamin Condobolin, Parkes, & Armidale back in N.S.W.

As usual we were up early and on the road once again, with all the enthusiasm, to see and enjoy all the new towns with their tourist interests.
I know I seem to keep saying this, because it is true,The weather has been so kind to us, every day we get up to sunshine, It makes everything look so beautiful.
I am sure that is the reason we are up so early and enjoying each trip. so much, on its merits.
Today we are leaving Lake Cargelligo, heading toward Condobolin. Just outside Condo is a small town called Ootha. Don`t blink or you will miss it. Although there is a reason to stop. They have a tourist interest that is called the Utes in the Paddock. Well worth the drive off the Highway. Some people are so very clever.

Back in the car and off to Parkes,
Parkes is a very large town, with a great array of shops.
The Caravan park we chose was very nice, we booked in for 3 days, as we needed to wash, shop for groceries, plus go sight seeing.
We saw the Dish, unbelievable the size of it also its history.
Went to the Museum for Elvis, because in Parkes every January they have an Elvis Festival.
Thanks to one of the Wiggles who has been a huge fan and bought allot of memorabilia for the town.
Plus the old time Museum all at the Tourist Information Centre.
Where The staff are amazing. As always in those places it is hard to find fault.
If ever you do a trip like this, These centres are indispensable. Normally they are the first place you look for. They are full of information.
Since leaving Sandy I have been trying to find a vacuum the same as hers, that she had shared with Carol and I on the trip. at last we found it in Parkes Big W I thought all my Xmas`s had come at once. It is great.
After doing all we wanted too in Parkes, We are now heading North East to Gilgandra,We had stoped there on our way out. So we kept going on to Coonabarabran, we had a short break there to take a Photo of the town that was very nice. Then off to Gunnedah where we only stayed one night.
We are starting to get to the pretty part where all the Mountain Ranges are coming in.
Through Tamworth, where the Country Music Festival is held every year, We have also stayed there before with Carol, Stephen,John And Sandy.[ That was our trial run before we started our trip ]
So off to Armidale for 3 days to do the tourist thing. We drove out to the Dangars Falls and Gorge, through the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. It was beautiful, but I would love to see it at its peak, when it was raining. It is so steep, They say it is deafening when it is like that as you can actually hear the thud of the water hitting the bottom of the Gorge.
On our way out to the falls we passed a property with two people mustering a calf back to the heard, and finally I was able to get a photo of this happening.. YYYYYEEEEEESSSSSS
The next morning it was very hard but we had to get up early,to go on a tour of Armidale.
The temperature was minus 7 there was ice everywhere, I don`t think I was that cold even when we went to the snow. It was freezing, neither of us wanted to get out of bed.
Although we must admit the tour was incredible. It is run from the Tourist Information Centre. Free to all, and they have residents that donate their time to drive and another to do commentary.
The lady we had never stoped telling us the history for 3 1/2 hours. Plus morning tea. They really need to do this in every town so you get to know what is in the town and what its history is. This woman was so knowledgeable.
The next morning was minus 5. We have to be honest we couldn't`t wait to get out of there. It definitely did not agree with Tez and my Bones. I was so sore and so was Tez.
