Noosa Qld

We arrived a day earlier than expected, That was a great surprise for Renee.
The weather Had changed and was coming up the coast, so we thought it best to get out and come up and get set up before it hit. Also Renee had said she was having Happy hour at the Village and wanted us to come, then after go out to dinner.
All a bit much in one day, to travel, set up, Go to happy hour, Then to dinner, we would turn into pumpkins by six. Hee! hee!
It was lovely to see her and Chris, they both look very well and very happy.
Renee has been in this industry for 20years but Chris is a printer and sign writer and he is amazing, to think he lives there and all is a big ask, but as he and  his Friends said it isn`t your normal retirement village. It is like a resort. With allot of the residents very active and young at heart.
There are three pools, two heated, 1 spa, A gym,a library. a bar and pool room, indoor and outdoor bowling greens, a cinema. with a new movie every week. a hairdresser, a doctor, a podiatrist, and as well a great dinning room, for when you cant cook for yourself. Beautiful gardens surround the whole of the village. You have a bus at the door plus you are in walking distance of the shops and beach.

On Saturday I went with Chris to Eumundi Markets where he has a stall for their Designa Print.
It was good, I enjoyed being in the retail sector again. Only no pay this was a love job.
As it is virtually advertising his work shop.
We received good feed back and that is what we were there for.
Renee picked up her Dad and bought him out latter, then we went home about 1-30pm.
Because the weather has been dreadful, Chris`s friends all come out to see us as well, just to get away from the quagmire, of where they were staying.

Renee made arrangements with everyone, to come over on Sunday for the day at the retirement village, using their Facilities, as her unit wasn`t big enough for ten for lunch.
We started at 11 am with coffee and banana cake with caramel sauce, plus lemon slices. All of which Renee had made.We were in the pool room with a fire, plus the boys played pool.
Then we had Hamburgers for lunch, at one of the barbeque's.
Chris had set up outdoor heaters near the barbecue area, till we had lunch, then we returned to the
Bar and Pool Room area, Where we all played Kelly Pool, it was great. We all enjoyed it.
Everyone had a great day, all glad to have more room than a van in the rain.

To day we had a day of washing and catching up, also allowing Renee and Chris time out, for a day together. In the afternoon we called over to  say goodbye to Kerry, Dave and Company. and wish them a safe trip.
Today we had a very nice day. Tez and I drove up to Rainbow beach on a 4 wheel drive track, the scenery was beautiful.
We went up to meet Sheila and Jeff whom we met at Bremer Bay, and have lunch.
Had a nice lunch and went for a walk through the national park. Left at 9am back at 5pm.It was a long, but lovely day, really nice to catch up with them again.
Sheila had not long lost her Mum since we had last seen them. and they were now staying with Jeff's niece at Maryborough.

Well the weather has today started to heat up a little and at least the sun is out.So Tez and I decided to have a drive around, went to Maroochydore to get my sunnies fixed.
No luck, sent us back to Noosa, We had already gone to a section of Noosa, Oh! well never mind it was a nice drive.
Today was happy hour at the Village again so Tez has been having a great time playing pool with the residents.

Another Saturday at the Markets with Chris. Not as busy as last week although last week was a long week-end, so there was allot more people around.
On the Sunday morning we went early to the farmers market, bought all our fruit and vege. It is all so fresh. We then went back to our van to take our produce home unloaded and met Renee and Chris at the barge to go up the north beach of Noosa for a barbie. It was like Pitt street. I think everyone was glad to see the sun.

On Tuesday we received a text to say the rest of the sickaworkinsix had arrived in Noosa.
We gave them time to do all their chores and see what they wanted to see, then we caught up with them for drinks, before they left the next day.
It was great to catch up. We had been in phone contact, but had not seen them since April.
I new they were going past the caravan park we were staying in, to leave for Brisbane and I new what time they would be going so early the next morning I was on the Highway waving goodbye.
Much to their surprise.

This week we have been to Two concerts of the Noosa Festival that Andrew was playing in.
Louise had arrived earlier that day on a flight with Chris coming back from the Coast.
The first one was at Boredos on the Thursday night, Andrew was playing with a Young man named Nick Christos, who was very funny. It was a Bawdy Cab re,[ my mothers day pressie.] Great night.
Then on Sunday, The boys played again with about 8 other entertainers. They had all day entertainment, with food and wine, it was unreal. Then we all headed to a bar for cheese and Bickies then to a  Gourmet pizza place for dinner. Home at 9-30pm. Long day for us we normally are in bed at 7-30pm Ha! Ha!

We havn`t been able to get out much for the last couple of days as it is pouring  rain and freezing, hasn`t got over 13deg yet.
QLD  BEAUTIFUL ONE DAY PERFECT THE NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!! HEE! HEE!
Well we have now had seven days of rain and growing webbed feet. I don`t think we are supposed to come to Noosa, every time we do it rains and rains. Last time it was flooding.
Wednesday, because of the rain went to Renee`s and Chris`s and did the washing and stayed for dinner. Renee cooked shanks, mash and veggies. Bread and Butter pudding with Fig Ice cream. Beautiful.
Thursday night was Happy Hour at the village and Tez plays pool with Chris and the men at the Village.
After that we were invited to go to dinner with some of the residents, it was very nice and they were most hospitable. We had Beef Burgundy, Mash and peas. Plus Mud cake Berries and ice cream.
Tonight we are going to have dinner with Renee and Chris takeaway Chinese as Renee and Chris have the flu. Chris had it first and he decided to share. Hope they will be OK as they are going to Brisbane tomorrow for Andrew`s Birthday [Chris`s son] Supposed to be going to the races.[Hope it isn`t cold]
Should be good as today the sun has come out. AT LAST....
We have been drying everything out today and packing up, as we leave in the morning for Burrum Heads, just north of Hervey Bay.
