Noosa & Tweed

After leaving Burrum Heads, we headed back to Noosa for a couple of days, So Renee and Chris could have Tez`s 70th Birthday with him.
We arrived on the Saturday, Chris was at the Market and did quite well.
Renee called into the Caravan Park and had a cuppa, while she told her Dad what he couldn`t do for his Birthday. We all decided including Chris, That it wasn`t about Tez it was about Renee`s choices.
We could all see the funny side of it, and had a huge laugh.
Renee and Chris did spoil Tez very much on his Birthday. Actually and me.
They bought him a lovely Rugby shirt, and a cap. Took him to the Sheridan for Spring rolls and Cocktails. Then to Bistro C for lunch right on Noosa Beach. Where he had salt and pepper squid, also fish and chips,Renee and I had Duck on Rissotto with Fig and Pruciuto, [Beautiful]. Chris had a combination sea food and Safron rice.He loved his as well.
After all the rain we had had even the sun came out for a perfect day.
On the Monday that was Tez`s Birthday Renee cooked a wonderful seafood dinner.
1st course for the boys was Oysters Kilpatrick with a cream sauce, They both loved it.
2nd course was Tempura  king prawns.
3rd course was sweet potatoe mash with Ocean Trout and  baked fennel.
4th course was small tarts wih chocolate moose, vanilla cream and Strawberries.
It was all delicious. Our daughter is a very good cook.
Master Cheff, eat your heart out.

After we left Renee and Chris. Renee received a phone call to say Steven`s Dad, Jack had passed away.Which was quite sad.

Then on the Wednesday we were invited around to Jan and Ian`s, for a great dinner of lamb shanks.
Jan is Louise`s sister from Serrento in Vic.They have a beautiful winter unit in Noosa.
Ian is a very good cook also and a mad fisherman.
That was also a very nice night.
On the Thursday night, we went to the Happy Hour at the retirement village, to say hoo roo [Tez has decided he dosn`t like good byes. So from here on  it is hoo roo] to all the friends we had made over
there. Every Thursday night
Tez had a great time playing pool and having drinks with Chris, Ken and Tom.
The Retirement Village is very nice.
We were disappointed when we did our home work, to find that the house value had gone down, and we couldn't`t afford to move into there at the moment. As it would have saved us from allot of hard work when we went home.
The size of the unit, and everything that goes with it would suit us down to the ground. Plus the main thing was the warmth of the area, with our bones.
Never mind we will wait a while and see what happens.
All our good byes were done on the Thursday night,as Renee flew down to Jacks Funeral,[supposedly on Thursday night, until the flight was cancelled] on Friday morning, then trained it to Woy Woy, where she was picked up by Fiona to go to see Betty.
We left Noosa for Tweed on Saturday morning, in the wind and rain. Because the weather was so bad and we hadn`t heard from Bev and Denni we decided to only stay for 2 nights and head for Ballina.
On the Sunday we went and spent the day with the Smedley`s as planed. and had a wonderful day catching up with them. They never change. Always make us feel very welcome.
On Monday we left for Ballina in the rain and wind again.
